About Joanne

Joanne Howe began preparing to be a Roman Catholic nun when she was 13 years old.  This led to her serving in the Sisters of St. Joseph for 19 years.  During that time, Joanne found her life as a nun to be spiritually unfulfilling.  This caused her to relinquish her vows in 1968.

Her desire to serve God was so great Joanne began a long, soul-searching process of finding God.  She began an in-depth study of the Bible.  She found the Bible to be the only source for finding God's will in her life.   Four years later, she found complete peace with God.

Joanne replaced the physical robes of her order for the spiritual robes of a priest of God.  We are all called by God to join that same priesthood (1Peter 2:4-9).

Miss Howe is a retired elementary school teacher.  She received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Carlow College in Pittsburgh, PA and a master's degree in guidance and counseling from Bowie State University in Bowie, MD.  She now lives in Hendersonville, TN, where she is active in community service and in various professional organizations. She also is frequently asked to speak on the changes she has made in her life.
